"The Good Tarot" by Colette Baron-Reid
8 of Air (Swords)
Release from denial,
seeing things as they are, clarity
"With Spirit as my side encouraging me, I open my eyes
to see things as they really are.
To be disillusioned is to free myself from illusions that
keep me from the growth and healing that I deserve, so I bid goodbye to
illusions that have clouded my vision.
Honesty gives me strength and courage to face whatever I
have to face."
Interpretation: While
the 8 of Swords usually depicts bondage and self-imprisonment, mental
confinement and anguish, The Good Tarot tells a slightly different story. Even through disillusionment, we can find courage through self-honesty and
looking at situations with clarity. "The truth will set you free."
